Hay Fever Diet

Always try to eat a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. If you aren't eating enough fresh fruit and vegetables then it is worth supplementing your diet with some multivitamins. Always drink plenty of water. It has long been suggested that dairy products can cause excess mucous and trigger allergies. It may well be worth abstaining from these products for a week or two to see if this is true for you.

For some people, allergens may not be the only thing that are causing the symptoms sometimes to become severe. It could also be lacking in proper nutrition to support the adrenal, immune system, and digestive functions. People who are allergic to airborne allergens may also be sensitive to other foods.

Try to get rid of alcohol, caffeine, and dairy products. Eliminate chocolate, peanuts, red meat, sugar, and wheat. Diets that are high in saturated fats might be aggravating your symptoms. See how your body reacts by getting rid of these foods and slowly adding them back in to see how your body reacts to them. If you experience a reaction when adding a certain food back into your diet, then you know that is something you shouldn’t eat.

Instead, include these foods in your diet: dark green leafy vegetables, deep yellow and orange vegetables, cabbage, beets, carrots, yams, onion, garlic, ginger, cayenne, and horseradish.

I think we need discipline along with proper diet for a healthy living. Is it possible that the foods kids eat might be triggering for ADHD? I read this here: Pediatricians dispute results claimed by Dutch ADHD diet study A newly released research demonstrated a possible connection between an ADHD eating habits and improvement in ADHD conditions. However the study's conclusions are being disputed by pediatricians who do not agree that eating habits ought to be included in the treatment of ADHD.
